My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This delightful fellow is Monroe, picked up as a stray by one of our officers and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/20. He weighs 60 pounds and is about 2 years old. He is a mixed breed and my Dog Scanner app suggests mostly Belgian Shepherd and German Shepherd in the mix. He is a tail-wagging pleasant-natured boy with a chill personality. He is well behaved and has a fairly calm demeanor. He amiable and stayed very close to me, seeming to find comfort in being close to a human friend. He walks quite nicely on a leash. Monroe pottied as soon as he got into the yard. He seems to have been well cared for but sadly his people have not come looking for him. He loves treats and takes them politely but doesn`t know to sit for them. He wasn`t interested in toys or balls and doesn`t appear to know any commands. He was perfectly ok with being petted. This adorable boy would make a wonderful addition to the household of a person or family who would provide an inside life with a soft bed or two and plenty of TLC. Will you consider whether you can assist Monroe in finding that perfect forever home?
