Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello! My name is Honeycomb, but you can call me Honey for short. I’m a sweet girl with a heart full of love and a super adorable "happy stump" of a tail that wags like crazy whenever I see someone I like (it's a bit stubby, but trust me, it’s still mighty!). Right now, I’m on activity restrictions while I recover from heartworm treatment, so I'm taking it easy and enjoying the slower pace. But don’t worry—I’m a smart girl who knows how to keep myself busy. I love working on my puzzle toys and chewing on my favorite chew toys.
I'm a pretty social pup, and I get along well with the other dogs I’ve met. Occasionally I might resource-guard but that's pretty rare for me around chill dogs. I’m especially fond of a male resident dog here who's around my age—we get along like peas in a pod.
I’m housetrained, so you don’t have to worry about accidents in the house. Plus, when my foster dad has to leave the house or when it’s time for me to sleep overnight, I’m super happy in my cozy kennel. I like to think of it as my little safe space.
I may be in recovery right now, but that doesn’t stop me from showing how much love and joy I have to share. I’m a smart cookie with big, intelligent eyes that say a lot, and I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can give all my love to you.
***FOSTER TO ADOPT*** Honeycomb is Heartworm positive and not yet spayed. She has completed her Heartworm treatment and is now just waiting for a negative test result. Once her spay is complete, her adoption can be finalized. Once finalized, it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result which can take 2-9 months. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high-energy play or exercise. Honeycomb will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. If you are interested in adopting Honeycomb, please fill out an adoption application.
--------------------------------------------
All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
