Chrysanthemum is a sweet, confident, big personality kitty in a small package. Weighing just 7 lbs at 5 years old doesn’t hold her back one bit. Found on the streets of Baltimore, Chrysanthemum was found caked and matted in her own excrement. We have no clue how she ended up this way, but she bounced back and loves fiercely as if she was never wronged. She loves to jump up to reach your hand and rub her face into it. She has the cutest little meows and will let you know when it`s time for food and pets. She loves to play with her little ball toys and lounge in comfy spots when you’re busy. Chrysanthemum is good with dogs (doesn’t pay them any mind) but needs a forever home without any other cats. She has excellent litter box manners.

Her adoption fee is $150 and AARF`s adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like Chrysanthemum for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of them have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all AARFies entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

AARF only adopts pets to people in the Baltimore/DC metro region. In certain circumstances, we will consider homes in closer areas Pennsylvania, Delaware and Northern Virginia. This is due to the required home visit and long term ability to support the adoption. If you live outside of an hour radius of Baltimore, it is unlikely that your application will be approved.
Completion of the application form does not guarantee AARF will place one of our pets in your care. Many of our animals receive multiple applications, and we evaluate each applicant on fit for the specific animal (not first come first serve).
Completion of the application authorizes AARF to verify any information contained herein, including verification of medical records of any present or prior pets treated by the veterinarians listed.
AARF utilizes Truthfinder, a leading provider of public data about people and their connections to others, to verify certain information provided on foster and adoption applications. Truthfinder does not provide consumer reports and is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
