My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gomez came to Camp Barry in a liter of 11 puppies, he is 1 of 6 puppies left. We believe he may also have Mastiff dog breed mixed in, so he will be a big dog & has big paws to grow into. He has been in training, knows crate training (he waits when his kennel door is opened, not to rush out) which will help when teaching threshold training, walks on leash, follows his human (will need recall training still) learning basic commands, sit, stay, and down. He has been in play group with dogs of all sizes and the bigger dogs are teaching him boundaries on playing. Gomez has unique markings, black body white marking on his chest, brown with black speckles on his legs & feet, brown expressive eye brows. He is smart and eager to learn & please you. This is the perfect time to train and bond with him.

More about this rescue

Camp Barry is an all volunteer based 501(c)(3) non profit located in Crescent City, California.

We specialize in taking litters of unwanted, neglected and abandoned puppies. We have also pulled older medical dogs and puppies from our local pound, we have provided a safe space for dogs to stay and decompress until they can be transferred to another rescue and if we have space available we do take owner surrenders.

To us it doesn't matter where they come from or how long they will spend with us, all we know is they need and deserve a safe, loving and nurturing environment until they can find a forever home
We work with and begin training with every dog & puppy while at our rescue. This gives them a good start to a new life.

Camp Barry has saved hundreds of dogs and puppies since we began our mission in January 2018!

We work on social skills, positive reinforcement, potty training and show them what it is like to live in a home with a family. We try to set each pup up for success and teach them skills that they can take with them when they are adopted into their forever families.
