My friend passed away Thursday leaving behind her much loved Jay. I really really want to keep him, but I’m a little bit homeless right now and sleeping on a friend’s couch. I was able to get him out of animal control on Saturday and he is currently staying with a wonderful friend of mine, but she has cats and a dog already and it’s not working out. My friend who passed away was an elderly woman who lived alone with her two cats. Last month she had to put Jay’s lifelong companion cat to sleep and now he was alone with her for at least half a day before they found her deceased. Jay is a little traumatized right now, and I am really hoping to find someplace quiet and loving to get him through this.
