My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Theo is a delicate, beautiful kitten with a shy soul and a lot of potential to become a loving companion. He was born to an unsocialized mama cat and brought into foster care at a young age to help him learn to trust humans. While he has made significant strides, Theo remains skittish and cautious in unfamiliar situations. Because of his sensitive nature, he would do best in a quiet, calm home without small children or loud environments that might overwhelm him.

Theo’s heartwarming curiosity peeks through when he feels safe, and his sweet personality shines in moments of quiet connection. He enjoys observing his surroundings, playing gently, and finding cozy spots to hide and relax. Building trust with Theo requires time, patience, and understanding, but the reward is a deep, special bond with a kitten who will learn to feel secure in your love.

Theo is looking for an experienced adopter who can provide a peaceful space where he can continue to grow and gain confidence at his own pace. With the right care, Theo will flourish and offer his quiet affection to the lucky person who shows him kindness and patience.

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.

More about this rescue

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
