Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Pookie. Pookie is a terrier mix who came to us alongside Lottie, Buddy, and Chesty. Shelter life has been a big adjustment for this gentle soul, and he's still feeling quite scared here. With his soft eyes and quiet presence, Louie is looking for a patient, loving home that can help him feel safe and confident again. He would thrive in a calm, understanding environment where he can learn to trust at his own pace. If you’re willing to give Pookie the time and care he deserves, he’ll be forever grateful and loyal. Could you be the one to help Louie come out of his shell? An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are a donation of choice.
