Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Camo, and I’m a 2-year-old Husky mix with a big heart and an adventurous spirit! I’ve become something of a local celebrity in Waterloo, where I’ve been known to take myself on a few too many solo adventures. After my final escapade, I ended up here at the shelter to find my true forever family—one that can help me channel my curiosity in a safe and secure way.
I’m a super friendly guy who gets along great with everyone—kids, adults, and other dogs! I’ve got a sweet, gentle nature, and I love meeting new friends. I’m also a smart pup and easy to walk on the leash, which I know will make our outings a lot of fun.
Because I’ve got a bit of a history as a “frequent flyer,” I’ll do best in a home with a fenced-in yard or with someone who’s dedicated to teaching me solid boundaries and recall. With a little guidance, I know I can be the most loyal and loving companion. If you're looking for a clever, affectionate, and joyful buddy to share life’s adventures, I’m your guy. Come meet me—I’d love to start our journey together! An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are a donation of choice.
