Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
How I Arrived At NHS: My friends and I were strays that were brought in. We were all sick so we went into a foster home until we were ready to find our new homes.
Notes from my foster mom: We have a scratching post about 3 feet high. Paddy will run up it, often chasing his sister, Selma, but then act like he`s trapped on top. He’ll pace back and forth, then just sit there, too scared to try the jump down. Or maybe he just prefers for his humans to give him a first-class ‘ride’ down to the floor… We certainly don’t mind the excuse to pick him up and hold him, as this gentle boy does really well with that. Paddy loves to wrestle with his sister (though it seems she can be a bit much for him at times) and to play with all kind of toys. Sometimes just playing is enough to get him purring. He ‘sings’ for his supper and has the sweetest little face with those ‘sad’ eyes of his!
Good with kids: likely with a slow introduction Good with cats: yes with a slow introduction. Good with dogs: possibly with a slow introduction
Cats are feline leukemia/feline immunodeficiency virus tested (if applicable), if there is a litter, one in the litter is tested or the queen is tested. They have had at least their first distemper combo (booster given if been in our care for the appropriate time), been de-wormed, microchipped, and treated with a flea and tick product (if applicable). All the cats are spayed or neutered before they leave for their forever homes.
