My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I am Wesley! I am a Great Pyrenese/German Shepard mix who was born on 8/24/2044. I am light tan with the most stunning eyes and face.  I am a big boy who is getting bigger every day! While I am big in size, I am a puppy at heart. I love to do all the puppy things like running around the yard with my foster sisters and chewing on things like toys, bones, and my foster brother's old hockey sticks. My foster dad says I'm the best independent player he has seen.  My mom keeps telling me that with my lovely soft coat, I am going to love winter! I am doing great with potty-training. When kept on a schedule, I do not have accidents. If my family does not notice my cues that I need to go out, I will use the potty pad. Most days someone is home with me but when my foster mom goes to work twice a week, I spend 6 hours in my kennel and do great. I nap a lot during the day and sleep through the night in a crate in my foster parents' bedroom. If I get scared and cry in the night, I calm down and go back to sleep if my parents say "shhhh." I am a very good car rider and walker. I love taking walks and walk very well on a leash. I am not terribly energetic but I do like to play every now and then. So far, I do not bark much at all except when I'm on a walk and other dogs bark at me from their yards. I need to say "hello!" back!  I currently live with three elementary-aged kids and two big dogs and I love them all. I am a fun, loving, gentle big boy who is looking for my forever home.
