Meet Tex, he is a male Pitbull born approximately 9/28/22 who is an adventurous bully breed with a zest for the outdoors! Tex has a bold personality and undeniable charm. He is an ideal companion for hiking enthusiasts, always eager to explore new trails and soak up nature's beauty.
This gorgeous boy came to us after being shot by some cruel human. He's now completely healed and ready for a home of his very own!
While Tex loves an active lifestyle, he would thrive with an owner who can provide him with some formal training to help polish his manners and harness his enthusiasm positively. Tex can be selective with his canine friends, so he might do best as the only pet in the home or with a proper introduction to potential furry siblings.
Tex is the best cuddler and for a bigger doggo he seems to think he’s a lap dog. On cold nights/days he loves to cuddle up in a warm blanket with his smiling face on your chest, all while trying to give you kisses constantly.

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.
Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values.
