My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Reyito is a neutered male. He is 8 months old and weights 13 pounds (in Nov 2024). He is UTD on everything.  He will be with a wonderful foster in the Boston area.  Stand by for more details.

Nov 20 Update: Reyito has had quite the week! This poor boy's mama has cancer and can no longer care for him, so she took him to the shelter. The shelter isn’t a great place for any dog, let alone a 13 pounder!! So we scooped him up and he went to volunteer extraordinaire Gladys’ home to wait for his flight. In stepped two amazing flight angels, Marina and Juan, thank you Jada. He’s now in Boston looking for his forever home. This little guy is about 8 months old, 13 pounds, crate trained, doing well on being house broken, rides well in the car, gets along with dogs and is a bit scared of cats. He walks well on leash too! He needs a comfy home where he can soak up all the love you have to give him. Is this the one you’ve been looking for? Oh yeah, he is the biggest snuggle bug around.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization registered in Washington State, USA. We are volunteer based and receive all our funding and supplies through donations. We rescue stray dogs, give medical treatments and make sure they are healthy and socialized before arranging their adoption in a new home. Most of our dogs are flown to the States. We believe in teamwork and volunteer with other rescue groups and the Spay-a-thon.

After hurricane Maria caused such devastation, we all found ourselves dedicating more and more time to the effort of animal rescue. We have saved and found homes for hundreds of dogs since the storm. It has been quite a challenge, but well worth the effort!

We plan to develop and implement additional programs including capture-spay/neuter-release to supplement our ongoing rescue effort.
