Dog Name: Lexi
Breed: mixed
Sex: Female
Age: 2 years
Weight: 40lbs
Medical Needs: None
Housebroken: Mostly. She won’t always cry to leave her crate if she needs a potty break so she needs a family who can get her on a routine and she will be great.
Crate trained: Yes.
Good in the car: Yes.
Good on a leash: Moderate. She likes to be near you so sometimes she gets underfoot. She is getting better every day.
Energy level: medium to high. She is good at relaxing in her crate but loves to parkour off of the couch and chase her toy outside.
Need a fenced in yard: No, if adopter is willing to walk frequently.
Dog Friendly: Yes.
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No. She is learning how to walk well by walking with her foster brother, so another dog would probably set a good example for all house behaviors.
Cat Friendly? Yes. Is curious but not aggressive.
Kid Friendly: Yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? She hasn’t shown any issues with kids but has demonstrated she is cautious around any smaller humans. Any child that can be taught good introduction boundaries would be fine.
Traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Lexi came from a difficult situation and is still learning how to live in a home that is safe and loving. Her reaction to love is MORE LOVE. She is an aggressive kiss giver but is learning slowly but surely. She will need patience to learn how to relax and enjoy family time.
