My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****

Temperament: Meet Trinity: Your Playful Little Companion! Say hello to Trinity, the adorable little bundle of joy with a personality as big as her heart! Trinity is a friendly and affectionate pup who thrives on attention and is always ready to bring a smile to your face. With her playful spirit and charming demeanor, she’s sure to capture your heart.

Trinity is full of energy and loves to play with her toys, but she’s still learning how to interact with other dogs. In moments of excitement—like getting ready for a walk or greeting her humans—she can sometimes get a little too intense, especially with her furry friends. Although she’s a social butterfly, she may do best as the only dog in the home or in a family where there are more people than pets, as she can get a bit jealous when attention is shared.

This little cutie does exhibit some resource guarding tendencies, especially around food and interesting scents during walks. While she’s not possessive of her toys, she can show some growling behavior if another dog tries to sniff the same spot while on a walk. Trinity is looking for a loving home where her new family can provide her with the guidance she needs to feel secure and confident.

Trinity is a cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up on the bed with you and will happily use a ramp or stairs to join you. She’s making great progress with her leash manners, but she’ll need a dedicated owner to continue her training. A no-escape harness is recommended to help keep her safe during walks, as she can be a bit of a handful!

While Trinity is a sweet and loving companion, she’s not the best fit for families with young children. A home with kids aged 10 and older would be ideal.

Are you ready to open your heart and home to Trinity? She’s looking for a patient, understanding family who can help her grow into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. If you think you’re the perfect match for this little dynamo, don’t hesitate to apply today!  --

Where did she come from: She was a stray at the Forney Animal Shelter

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
