My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GINGERBREAD aka Ginger

Ginger has gone by many names, but for some reason we landed on Gingerbread. Maybe the name sounded nice because the holidays are approaching, or maybe it's her beautiful ginger eyes that surround a light jade. I just find her eyes to be so pretty that I wanted to name her ginger.

She was initially very shy from the first time she came on my porch with her mom and siblings. Always following behind her sister, Juniper Berry, she eventually became confident enough to trust a stranger. I have loved seeing her warm up inside a home. Safe to sleep on top of the back of a couch; safe to play with her sister and play with toys they find from my cat. It's great to see her grow into herself with her striped tail up high. The strips so faint compared to her dark blue-gray coat.

Ginger was reluctant at first to be held. There's some moments where she gets scared, but you can see her trust growing as she stares at you with big eyes in your arms. I let her free roam at night but you can tell she's already a cuddle bug as she chooses to come to bed with me at night. Now don't get me wrong, she's still a kitten so she will bite my toes time to time, but most nights she'll fall asleep on my chest.

She's great with big and small dogs as well as grumpy cats. She always wants to cuddle my pitbull lab mix. Sometimes she'll be brave and loaf right behind my cat. For a reformed shy girl, she's so brave, and I love seeing that confidence grow daily. For toys she seems to love hunting and chasing. I have a toy that reminds me of a fishing rod that she loves to hunt, put in her mouth and try to run off with. As I mentioned before she also just likes trash. My cat that I have has always loved crinkly wrappers so I let her play with them and Ginger also seems to be a connoisseur. I will say she does really enjoy playing with her sister but I'll catch her time to time in a room playing a ball.

I know I keep talking about her looks, but I'm just so amazed by how beautiful she is. She's gray but her little rabbit feet look like they shimmer. In whatever lighting you have her in, her tiny beans glow from the light reflecting.

Now Ginger is very food driven. She gets so excited when she hears the shake of her kitten food coming out the pantry. If you're not on time, she will very much let you know with a tiny "meow". Some would even call her a genius with the way she plans her heists. Even after a full day a yummy meals, she waits until you're nice and comfy for her to wiggle her way in to where the food is at. She maybe have found a way to have a midnight snack.

All this to say, Ginger is a the sweetest little kitten there is. I just wanna put a little bow on her head and put her in a stroller because I swear she's a tiny girl trapped in a cat body. With the time spent with her she lets me know when she wants pets. Which is such a big spet from when I'd feed her on my porch. She was always so scared to have me around. I would play fish videos for her and her sisters while I watched them through the window.

You should adopt Gingerbread if you'd want a cat to grow with. A cat you want to hold at night and snuggle up with. Pick her up and tell her how precious she is. I mean come onnnnnnn look at her!!
