Meet Ruby!
I started off life being a really scared kitten all alone on the island of Anguillain the Caribbean. Then, I was a little shy when I was at the shelter in Anguilla and no one wanted me, so they were going to put me to sleep. Luckily, a good Samaritan decided to give me a second chance to live the life that I deserve! Since I’ve been in a foster home with my foster sister, Talulah, I have learned to trust humans. I now feel comfortable enough to play with toys and chase around the house with my sister, Talulah. It’s really fun! I purr loudly when my foster mom pets me. I like to do this when I eat too.I love treats! I also love laying in the sun and looking out the window. Minnesota is a lot different than the Caribbean! I love it; it’s my new home! My foster mom says my beautiful calico coat is stunning!

ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/
FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the animals journey to their forever home.

Legends Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a rescue based in New Brighton, Minnesota founded in 2017. Most of our dogs are rescued from Puppy Mills or surrendered. We help them decompress, realize humans are good, trustworthy and they deserve love. It’s so rewarding watching these dogs come out of their shell and develop personalities.
All of us have been working extra hard with extra dogs! If you are looking to foster or adopt a dog – or two – we have puppies to seniors – shedding and non-shedding.
