My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Feta is a lover of cuddles! She is never satisfied, and will happily be held like a baby and have her belly kissed! When you lay down, she will find a nice spot on your chest to fall asleep. She likes to kick it with her siblings, wrestling and chasing, but enjoys a good cuddle with them too!

Her foster family has a dog the kittens like to snuggle with when he is sleeping. They are also highly interested in the resident cat but are respectful of his space.

1.
Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
