URGENT foster or committed adopter needed in ORANGE COUNTY ONLY for Colby. This guy is with one of our overcrowded shelter partners and we cannot get him out unless he has a foster or adoptive home to go to once we get him transferred.
Colby is a 1 year old, 50lbs lab mix who is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
He's a sweet, loving, ENERGETIC, playful pup. He's a smart boy, very food motivated so training him should come easy, but he will need a patient home to help him learn. He already knows sit, shake, speak, down. He's super friendly with kids, but sometimes he gets so excited he knocks them over, so we would recommend him to a home with older kids.
Poor Colby was surrendered to our shelter partner for having too much energy. He was kept outside on a tether his whole life prior to getting surrendered, so his loving personality is just incredible given how horribly he's been treated.
This guy has a lot of potential for the home that is will to give him the patience, training, and love he deserves. If that someone is you, please fill out a foster or adoption application on our website.

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.
We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.
Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
