My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gamby🐾!

Gamby is a sweet, 8-year-old black Lab who ended up at the shelter as a stray. This gentle boy has a laid-back personality and gets along well with other dogs.

Don’t let his age fool you—Gamby still has a playful side and absolutely loves his tennis ball! He’s looking for a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by care and companionship.

Could Gamby be your new best friend? Come meet him today!

More about this shelter

In 1987, an initial attempt was made to organize a local humane society in Caroline County. While this attempt did not succeed, those same dedicated volunteers were not deterred.

From our humble beginnings 30 years ago, to where we are today, we are proud to be called “the little shelter that could”.

We provide service to our community through pet adoption, Rabies Clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return, Pet Pantry, Pet Lost & Found, Re-homing, Intake Diversion, Cremation
