My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Martin was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on July 7, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Martin, the ultimate adventure buddy who's always ready for action! Whether you're hitting the trails or just strolling through the neighborhood, Martin's here to keep the energy high and the tails wagging. He's the kind of guy who believes every day is an opportunity for a new escapade, and he's got the perfect attitude to prove it. Martin is an excellent leash walker and a pro at keeping pace, whether it's a leisurely hike or a spirited run. Once you've worn him out, he's a cuddle bug that just wants to hang out with you! If you're looking for a loyal companion that enjoys adventures as much as you do, Martin's your guy. He's already daydreaming of his next big outing, and you could be the one to make it happen. Remember to bring a leash and collar when you swing by to meet him - he's ready to go!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
