My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Geronimo is an estimated 10 month old 52 lb neutered male mixed breed who will be joining us from Oklahoma (Tulsa Animal Control) on 11/17 and is in need of a foster home. Geronimo was a staff favorite at the shelter, and while awaiting transport his foster reports he is good on leash, friendly with dogs, cats, and farm animals, and happy and friendly when meeting new people. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.

Foster Update: Geronimo is a sweet gem of a pup! He is eager to please and ready too learn what you have to teach him. He's a happy social boy who makes friends everywhere he goes -- he plays great with his foster dog sibling and can adjust his energy based on the cues he gets from other dogs -- he will happily wrestle rambunctiously or leave a dog alone. He lovers to play tug and destroy stuffed toys and absolutely adores playing fetch. He also has a great off switch and will happily snooze in the crate or on the couch. Geronimo has been great with all people big and small, though he is not currently fostered with children, he did very well with former foster's  very young niece. He did fine at a brewery but wanted to say hi to every dog he met. Geronimo does need a little work on his leash manners and we are working with him on that-- he will need a family dedicated to continued training as he is still young. He is crate and threshold trained and is working on his basic commands ( he knows "sit" and "crate"). He would be fine as an only dog but would really enjoy a dog sibling or doggie friends to have regular playtime with.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
