My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This tuxedo colored guy is Eloise. He is a 1 year old cat who weighs only 10 pounds.
Eloise is a sweet guy. He is also smart. He will sit and come when called. Plus, he is harness/leash trained! Eloise is also good about using the litter box.
Eloise is nice with people. He starts shy but quickly becomes sweet and affectionate once he is comfortable.
Eloise is also good with dogs and cats. He lives with both right now. He would likely also be fine as an only pet in a home.
Eloise is a very cool dude. He is leash/harness trained. He actually plays fetch. He is playful, sweet, and talkative. He is best friend material.
Eloise is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is located in Fullerton, CA. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.

Additional adoption info

We have some amazing dogs looking for just the right home.

To apply adopt a dog, you will be required to fill out an adoption questionnaire. We also require a home check and a vet reference. There is an adoption fee for each pet. The average adoption fee is $400 for puppies and $350 for adult dogs. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

We are a foster-based organization, meaning that all of our dogs are living with families in homes. We do not have a facility. Therefore, adoptions are made by appointment only.

More about this rescue

Our mission is matching herders to humans in Southern California.

Helping Herders Rescue is a foster-based 501(c)3 rescue dedicated to helping abandoned herding dogs recover, prepare for a family, and find great homes.

We believe that every dog deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.
We believe that good rescue involves foster homes.
We believe that special needs dogs are extra special, so we look for extra special homes for them.
We believe in the magic created when a great match is made between dogs and people.

With the strength of shared beliefs, the natural partnership formalized in early 2016 in the form of Helping Herders Rescue, including a small, dedicated, and greatly appreciated network of foster homes.
