My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Billie came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. Billie is a 4 year old chihuahua mix who is looking for a home to call his own! He is doing so well in his foster home and we are enjoying learning more about him! Things to know about Billie:- Billie loves to play with other dogs and hasnt met a friend he doesnt like. He would do best with a dog who has the same energy as him, or a friend that is confident so he knows its nap time.-He wants to be your best friend and will lay right by you any chance he gets. So furniture friendly will be his happiest. -He is potty trained.- He is house trained and can use a crate but doesnt seem to need one!If you would like to learn more about Billie or be considered a potential forever home (within 3 hours of Chicago) apply directly. If you have any questions before applying please adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org. Billies adoption fee includes up to date vaccines, neuter, heartworm test, and microchip. If you are viewing from adopt-a-pet to be considered a potential home for this dog please head to our website www.chicagorescueauthority.org and click on our adopt tab to apply directly!

Additional adoption info

Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a forever-home match. We are careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet’s permanent home. These steps ensure that we have all the information needed to make the best placement for you or your family.

More about this rescue

At Chicago Rescue Authority, our mission is to create a compassionate world where every animal is treated with love, respect, and dignity. We are dedicated to educating the public about the adverse realities of the mass-production industry for puppies, raising awareness about responsible pet adoption and ownership, and actively working towards reducing the overpopulation of dogs in shelters.

Our promise to Chicago is to build our rescue on the tenets of teamwork, education and compassion. We will listen to the concerns and ideas of those around us and be ready to grow alongside this rescue and this mission.

Volunteers, fosters, donors and adopters will be the backbone of this organization, just like every other animal welfare non-profit. We will be hosting a variety of fundraisers and mixers throughout the year aimed at building our support network. We can’t wait to meet all the animals whose lives we are going to change!
