My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Up for adoption in Texas: Beau Cheri'. Oh lala!

Beau is 2 years old and weighs 50 lbs. He is an incredibly sweet, loyal, loving, and beautiful boy. He has the most beautiful honey-brown eyes!
He is playful and adventurous and loves his cuddles, lounging, and naps.

When Beau is not strolling in the front yard with his foster family or playing with his foster sister, you can find him napping on the couch, waiting by the window for them to get home, or watching squirrels through the patio door.

He is leash-trained, loves car rides, and knows how to sit on command. Beau is still learning his name. At night, Beau sleeps in his bed in his foster family's bedroom. Beau does not like confined spaces and is not kennel trained, but he does well when home alone and spends his time lounging and sleeping.

Beau would love a family that has someone home most of the day and would love a doggie friend. He does amazingly well with female dogs, children, and elders. He is fine around male dogs, but he can get nervous and take a little bit to relax. Beau has been socialized at many foster friends and family gatherings, and he is great in social settings and is a hit at parties!

He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and housebroken.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Potential adopters must fill out an application and a Lucky Lab representative will follow up with both a phone and home interview. Our adoption fee includes all vaccinations, microchip, spay or neuter and a heart worm test and treatment for heart worm if needed.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue, if you become an approved adopter we will make arrangements to meet the dog you are interested in.

The great news is our dogs come house trained, they learn to live in a home and household and they are all "vetted" vaccinated, neutered/spayed and microchipoed.

Thank you!

More about this rescue

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) approved rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers and lab mixes and find them loving forever homes.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from municipal and county shelters in Texas. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowed conditions, great dogs who ended up in a bad spot.

Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.
