Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Emu, as we affectionately call him, is a sweet and adventurous pup. He can easily entertain himself with his many toys but also welcomes you to join in on the fun during playtime! He loves being outside and exploring in a safe, fenced in area and getting plenty of attention and exercise. Emu is a little timid at first but warms us quickly, offering lots of puppy kisses. He is catching on quickly to his routine of eating, sleeping, and potty time. He's already learning to sit and is sleeping through the night. Emuapple loves other dogs and does well with kids, but his playful puppy-nipping phase makes him better suited for a home with older children at this time. Emuapple will make a great addition to a family who is willing to invest in helping him become the best pup he can be.
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
