My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5660595 Meet Vixen , a feisty Mountain Cur mix who truly lives up to her name! Full of spirit and typical puppy energy, Vixen is still growing into her adorably oversized "cupcake" paws and those huge, perky ears that are always eager to take direction. She’s incredibly intelligent, a total smart cookie, already learning basic commands like sit, and truly loves to please – a perfect fit for someone ready to guide her and grow together. Vixen will thrive in a home with consistent structure and would also benefit from having an older pup to show her the ropes, making her the ideal puppy sister for a multi-dog household. She’s still working on the puppy basics and can be a bit mouthy (as is typical for puppies), so sturdy chew toys will be a must! With the right love, care, and guidance, Vixen will grow into a loyal and loving companion that will bring you a lifetime of joy and satisfaction!

  • Estimated 6 month old brown brindle German Shepherd/Lab mix

  • 39.5 pound spayed female - but will likely get a bit bigger!

  • May need some standard shots and preventatives before you can take her home - this is easy to do through the shelter!

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/29/24 as a stray

  • Feisty and full of spirit, typical puppy energy

  • given her age, still growing into her adorably oversized cupcake paws

  •  huge perky ears, eager to take direction from you - seeks out a leader to follow and please

  • needs to be in on the action, would make a wonderful working dog

  • super intelligent, a total smart cookie - already learning basic commands like sit

  • corrects nicely both from human direction and with other dogs

  •  needs consistent structure

  •  would benefit from having an older dog's guidance - the perfect puppy sister to add to a multi-dog household

  •  needs all the puppy training basics, but you''l be rewarded with a lifetime of loyal and loving companionship

  • can be a bit mouthy like puppies normally are - needs some sturdy chew toys

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
