Meet Gabanna! She is a female Yorkshire Terrier who was born approximately June 6, 2015. Her foster mom describes her as the sweetest and most loyal companion. She loves to lay right next to her on the couch or bury her face in blankets! She sleeps in a bed right beside her foster parent but would likely love to sleep in the bed with her person or people if given the chance! She is potty trained using pads or the doggie door. Gabanna's loves stuffies with squeakers and encourages her foster mom to toss so she can chase. Gabanna will crate although she’s not the happiest crated and is trustworthy in the home. She will go on car rides with her foster mom but does get a bit nervous. She gets along well with small to medium dogs as well as cats. Gabanna would thrive in a laid back home with adults or adults with older kids. A securely fenced yard is a must because this girl has been known to wander! Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
