My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5659742 Meet Jolly ,  a 1-year-old terrier mix who lives up to his name in the best way possible! With his soft, silky fur, charmingly stumpy tail, and the biggest, most cheerful grin, Jolly’s personality is as vibrant and joyful as his looks. He’s incredibly social with other dogs, always excited to meet and play with his canine friends - he’d make an amazing pet sibling! Energetic, bouncy, and outgoing, Jolly is full of life and ready to share his happiness with everyone he meets. While he could use a little leash training to help harness all that enthusiasm, he’s a sweet, playful boy who’s truly a joy to be around. If you're looking for a fun, loving lifetime companion, Jolly is the one for you!

  • 1 year 1 month brown and black terrier mix

  • 42 pound neutered male

  • May need some standard shots and preventatives before you can take him home - this is easy to do through the shelter!

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/24/24 as a stray

  • Incredibly accurate name - Jolly is the happiest boy, even at the shelter!

  • Enthusiastic, bouncy, exuberant, and outgoing

  • The most charming wide grin

  • Cuddly soft fur and a sweet stumpy tail

  • Very dog social - wants to meet all the dogs and play

  • Would make a wonderful pet sibling

  • Medium energy level, very playful

  • Could use a bit more leash training to rein in his bounciness

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
