Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Rockstar entered San Diego Humane Society-Oceanside as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on November 19th to become a Frosted Face. Rockstar is around 7 years old and weighs 16 lbs.
Rockstar is currently on an extended Frosted Fling, so he can decompress after the stress of being in a shelter, while we learn what he is like in a home environment.
His Fling Mom reports:
"Rockstar was scared to death. It took me a while to even touch or pet him at all. After being here for two weeks, he started playing with toys! Rockstar has now been here three weeks and is so much more relaxed. I can now pick him up, walk him on a leash, feed him by hand, and pet him some.
Rockstar is great with large and small dogs, never, ever growls, and is a beautiful dog. He looks like a mini-lab!
Rockstar is generally calm but also sometimes playful. His energy level seems to mirror what is happening around him.
Rockstar is scared around new people but never growls. He loves my oldest daughter. She was able to pet him after a half hour with a loose leash on him.
He sleeps in bed with me and sleeps all night long.
Rockstar loves to run around my large one-acre yard, either with the other dogs or independently. He is a gentleman with other dogs at all times.
I think it will be a while until Rockstar is fully relaxed and not scared, but he has been progressing almost daily. We really are enjoying having him in our home and seeing him blossom!"
If you would like the reward of seeing Rockstar blossom in the love and security of a forever home, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to meet him!
