Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Carlos is a sweet and adventurous inside/outside 7-year-old. Carlos lived on the streets in Logan Heights until he found me and my home in August 2021. He is cuddly and sweet; he sleeps most of the day inside. When the sun goes down, he likes to play and hunt outside. He usually stays out all night but does not need to - he will let you know :) Carlos and I moved to Ocean Beach in January 2024; he initially transitioned to an inside kitty, which is why his vaccines are not up-to-date. However, he has recently started going out again so he is need of vaccines. Carlos is healthy and well-groomed. He has a heart murmur but it does not impact him. Carlos does use his teeth (and nips) every now and then to communicate when he wants something. My partner and I are expecting a baby within the next 3 weeks, and although Carlos is adored and loved by all in our community, we feel nervous having an animal in the house with a newborn. Very sadly, this is why we’ve decided to rehome him.
