My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5660495 Meet Hercules , a dashing German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix with a soft, cozy coat, cute cream-colored socks, and a big fluffy tail that’s just begging for pets! Although he’s been a little aloof in the shelter, which is understandable after being isolated for so long, you can see that Hercules truly craves companionship and just needs some time to feel safe and decompress. Once he’s comfortable with you, he’ll happily plop down and roll over belly up for pets – his way of asking for all the love! Hercules is wonderful with people and loves to solicit affection, but he could use some confidence-building and socialization to really shine with other pups. With the right home, a family ready to shower him with kindness and patience, and an unlimited supply of tummy rubs, this handsome guy will be the loyal, loving lifetime companion you've been looking for!

  • 4 year old black and cream German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix

  • 45 pound neutered male

  • May need some standard shots and preventatives before you can take him  home - this is easy to do through the shelter!

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/29/24 as a stray

  • a dashing and delightful medium sized boy, with a medium energy level - Hercules strikes the perfect balance all around!

  •  incredibly handsome, with a soft cozy coat, cream colored socks and a big fluffy tail that demands pets

  •  a little aloof after being isolated in the shelter, but you can tell he craves companionship

  • Hercules just needs to feel safe and decompress first, and then he'll gladly plop down and roll over belly up, begging for a good tummy rub

  • loves to solicit affection from his people

  • wonderful with humans, but could use some confidence building and socialization to be his best self with other pups

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
