Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there! I'm Bodie (or "Bo as my foster mom calls me), a one-year-old miniature poodle mix, weighing in at 14 lbs. My vet doesn't expect me to grow any bigger than I am now. After being found on the side of the road with two broken legs, I've fully recovered from surgery and am living in the Houston area with my foster family, ready to find my forever home!
I'm friendly and get along with everyone I meet, including little kids. In fact, I don't mind one bit when my 9-year-old and 3-year-old triplet humans touch my face, hug, or roughhouse with me! Ideally, I'd do best in a home where there is another playful dog or two (emphasis on playful, as I like to fully engage and an intolerant dog might not enjoy my company), but being an only dog would
be OK too. My foster mom said I'm such a good boy because I've NEVER shown any sign of aggression towards my humans or furry friends. EVER!
My hypoallergenic, soft hair doesn't shed, making me perfect for people with allergies. Just a heads-up, my poodle hair needs regular maintenance to stay nice and smooth; otherwise, it can get
matted. But don't worry-I love being pampered, and the groomer said I'm a total gentleman when it comes to grooming.
I'm fully potty and house-trained, but I'll need to learn your routine to keep things running smoothly. I absolutely love walks, though I could use a bit more practice on the leash. Please understand that I'm a young pup who gets excited when I see fellow dogs and kids outside, but you can teach me how to behave, and I will listen.
I sleep through the night without any problems when I'm in the same room as my humans. I'll stay in a crate too, but I might bark or whine a bit before I calm down.
I'm neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to meet my forever family. If you're interested in adopting me, please send in your application at https://www.camorescue.com/adopt .
Adoption fee $500
I can't wait to become a cherished member of your family and bring endless joy and love into your
life!
All adoptions require a complete application, vet and home checks, and a final contract. Once approved, CAMO will put you in touch with a representative to set up a meet and greet. CAMO selects the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's needs. CAMO is also happy to approve out-of-area/state adopters but transportation is the responsibility of the adopter.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
