YIN (female) and YANG (male) are a bonded pair of adorable black and white tuxedo young adult kitties with the cutest pink noses. Yin is a friendly and cuddly kitty who loves to play, especially with a feather wand, balls, or tumbling around with Yang. She will quickly accompany you on the couch or the bed for pets and snuggles. She is quick to open up to people, and is fiercely protective of her brother. Yang is a sweet but more timid kitty who loves to chase his sister around the house and is very dependent on her. He is the first to remind you that it’s mealtime! Yang loves to lay on top of his sister and then they groom each other.

YANG has sebaceous gland dysplasia which means his body doesn't make enough of the oils to coat his fur and skin. As a result, his hair is thin and discolored, particularly on his feet and around his nose and mouth. This doesn’t affect his health or personality at all—his condition is stable, and does not require any ongoing care. His imperfect looks are very endearing. Yin and Yang are the cutest couple with the most precious bond. They will warm your heart and make you laugh

They have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners. The $225 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 12:30-2:30pm, Sat.-Sun.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
