My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Woodbridge High School (1 Samuel Lupo Pl, Woodbridge, NJ 07095) from 11am - 3pm.

Meet Frost- the most gorgeous girl in the neighborhood! Named for her frosty coat and winter-loving breed, Frost is a happy-go-lucky, sweet, friendly and playful 2 yr old Siberian Husky of about 40 lbs (maybe a little less).

Frost is confident and social, loving everyone she meets. She's not fostered with kids but would likely do well with kids. She loves other dogs, however, her best match would be another friendly, playful dog so that they are on the same wavelength about play. She loves to invite her older foster siblings to play by running figure-eights around them in the yard, which they do not find amusing. She'd love to play chase with another young, active dog! We don't know how she would do with cats.

As for house training, Frost may be a work in progress. She knows to go outside but has had a couple accidents, as is to be expected when coming into a new home. Frost is crate trained and settles down to sleep in her crate at night or when her foster family leaves, though she will register her complaints at first. She gets some of her energy out by chewing, and while she doesn't tend to chew inappropriate things, lots of different kinds of toys would be on her Holiday list. Besides running around her foster siblings in the yard, her favorite past time is unloading ALL of the toy boxes and entertaining herself with one toy after another!

If you're looking for a beautiful, medium sized, medium-to-high energy, well socialized and impeccably friendly Husky, look no further! Frost's superpower is her sweet disposition. She currently lives in an apartment with a fenced in yard but would be adaptable to other environments provided her new family gets her enough exercise on lead. Her bright inquisitive face and glowing smile will have you hooked! She could be your perfect match.

Frost is fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $425.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
