My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chenoa is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!

We spotted perfect Chenoa at Chicago Animal Care and Control and knew she needed to be a Heartland dog! She has the best temperament and was so polite, despite being a bigger gal. Chenoa has been lucky enough to land in a foster home with a family with a dog and two kids aged 17 and 8.

Chenoa has never had an accident inside! She is housebroken. Her fosters have never crated her, as she has been left to free roam for a few hours at a time without issue.

Chenoa loves other dogs of all sizes. She is a submissive player. She is two times the size of the resident dog in her foster home and she enjoys playing with him and will always roll over on her back when it gets too crazy. She is very friendly and will do well with other animals in the home.

Chenoa has been great with the kids and anyone who comes over to the house!

Her foster mom writes, "Chenoa is a gentle giant. She gives a lot of love and always wants love in return. She will do well with a family and loves to be outside. I don't see her having any issues with any animals she meets. She really does love everyone!"

Chenoa's adoption fee is $250. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
