My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Selena!

This teeny tiny little 9lb girl has completely stolen our hearts. She is the ultimate snuggler, but also very playful. She gets along great with both big and small dogs and even cats. She's active and loves to run but is also happy to be in a lap. She's got a good routine for going potty outside and had only had a couple accidents inside. She does try to let you know when she has to go out.

She would like someone who is home most of the time, as she doesn't love being crated or without her people but is still working on it. She came to us not knowing how to walk on a leash and is also learning that, so a fenced yard would be a great bonus for her.

Selena looks like a shih tzu/maltese mix and is just 9lbs of pure joy. She's spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. She is in Tampa and ready for her forever home. Her adoption fee is $400 and she is estimated at 2 years old.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
