Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This helps Talladega Animal Control with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Oscar: The Low-Rider Love Machine!
"Hey there, humans! My name’s Oscar, and I’m a compact 29 lbs of pure canine charisma. They say I'm around 1 yr old. With my short, stubby legs, I’m the dog world’s equivalent of a sports car—low to the ground but built for speed (okay, maybe more like a brisk waddle, but still)!
I’m a certified good boy who loves making new friends, especially if they’re other dogs. I’m so friendly that even your grumpy neighbor might crack a smile when they meet me. My hobbies include belly rubs, sniffing around for snacks, and making people laugh with my adorably awkward zoomies.
For just $110, you can take home this delightful package of stubby-legged joy. My adoption fee covers all the boring but important stuff like vaccines, a vet exam, and my neuter. Call 256-362-5856 to schedule a playdate with me. Let’s make some memories—short legs, big adventures!"

More about this shelter
We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the entire county of Talladega excluding the city limits of Lincoln, Sylacauga, and Childersburg. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue. If you are interested feel free to contact us at 256-362-5856
