Meet the sweet and small Pfanee. Pfanee is a 1-year-old chihuahua mix weighing 14 pounds. This adorable boy is potty trained and quickly getting used to his crate (he can be vocal at first, but settles down quickly). Pfanee is a typical chihuahua, loving attention from his humans but can be a little hesitant of newcomers. Once Pfanee becomes acquainted, he will nudge you for pets. Understandably, the big city life is a lot to get used to for a little fella. Pfanee can be alert and nervous on walks but is always excited to be there, a sign he will gain his city confidence with some love and patience!

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
