Meet Ricky!

Lucy, you got some 'splaining to do'!
This dynamic sibling duo was rescued from an owner relinquish. The pups were neglected and we knew if we did not take them they would grow up in a bad situation. We have NO available fosters but we made room at casa de ARWOB for these adorable sweethearts. They are such grateful teens. They came in October as shy reluctant pups and we are so proud to say as of 11/19/24 they are thriving and enjoying life. You'd never know these 2 had trust issues with humans when they first arrived because now they are nothing but kisses and waggy tails who LIVE for humans to acknowledge them by petting them.

Ricky is your typical boy, he is flirthy, active, loving and funny. He is your typical pitty mix who will need an adopter who understand excercise and enrichment are key to good energy outlets. He is good friends with his foster siblings Benji, Spector, Mocha and Cici. Of course his numero uno BFF is his sister Lucy who is slightly smaller than him. His kitty friends are both Neeko and Chester although, we don't allow him unsupervised with kitties just yet because he can get accelerated in his excitement and he needs to learn boundries when the kitties request it.

Ricky has not had an accident inside the home but he does have access to the yard, if he were to be adopted into a home with no yard he would need frequent outtings to allow for quick pee breaks. He is crate trained and is excellent at healthy chewing staying focused on his toys, ANY TOYS but he loves both the squeaky toys or benabones for chewing where he can be enterained nibbling for an hour on end. He plays hard and naps harder! ha

We are decreasing the adoption fees for put bully breeds because its so hard to be chosen for adoption. Ricky is a healthy sturdy fully vetted boy who is READY to be adopted and we would LOVE for him to find a bully breed positive adopter who is not afraid of the breed and knows its all about the environment and the dog training which means structure, rules and socialization with proper excercise..

Ricky and Lucy do NOT need to be adopted together and he does not need to be adopted into a home with other dogs but he loves to play with dog friends so an adopter who will keep him socialized with dogs while ALSO enrolling in 101 dog training is a MUST for anyone looking to adopt Ricky. He would absolutely be a fantastic family dog with his great personality we think he would be amazing with children. If you'd like to adopt, foster or inquire on our foster to adopt 1-2 week trials please submit applications online at ARWOB. org and visit his biography online too to see many videos of this cutie.

More about this rescue

The A.R.W.O.B. group is based in San Diego, CA and operates mostly in Mexico as well as Southern California and will come to the aid of any animal in need which crosses our path. Our belief is to do what we can in order to “Make a difference in their lives.” From experience we have observed and feel the companion animals of Mexico are in the greatest need and accordingly we focus much of our efforts in Baja, Mexico. However, we certainly extend our help to our north of the border critters by accepting relinquished family pets, exiting both dogs and cats from the shelters of San Diego and of course by working in conjunction with other animal rescue groups in the community
