Meet Ricky!
Lucy, you got some 'splaining to do'!
Ricky and Lucy are 2 adorable siblings which where relinquished by their owner whos personal dogs had a litter of pups. Thankfully they acceptes the help to at least have the female (mom) sterilized as long as we acceptes the last 2 pups. They couldn't find anyone to take them and had them as yard dogs Realizing they where over their heads having pups and no time or finances to provide for them. We accepted these sweethearts the first week of November and have been available for adoption since late November.
Excellent pair but of course available for adoption separately.
To help them find a family all our bully breeds or bully mix have an adoption fee of $150.
update as of 12/20/24:
We don’t play favorites at de ARWOB …. Usually, but this little dude is too awesome
Not too â¼ï¸
Ricky is probably 7-8 months old just shy of 30 pounds and a healthy neutered male UTD on all medical but what makes him so cool is his loving and smart personality.
â He has THE most adorable prancing walk, truly reminds you of a show horse, you have to see it to understand and perhaps will take a video of him one day â¤ï¸
â
Fantastic in crate and potty trained
(btw he swats to pee there is no leg lifting which is a great plus )
â
He adores ALL humans
â
He is friendly and goofy around cats
â
He is dog friendly and enjoys playing with his dog friends
â
THE best team mate for an excellent game of fetch. Not only does he actually fetch but drops it ever so gently when he returns the ball
â
The little we have thought him he has learned FAST. We can’t even imagine how fantastic he would do when he is adopted and his humans actually focus their time solely on him as their family dog vs being at arwob sharing time with many other dog friends. The sky is the limit for this dude to learn
The negativesâ
â Off/on potential leash reactivity. Intro to certain dogs on leash. But with increase outtings he has significantly improved. Once he settles in he is very friendly with the dog he showed reactivity towards. It’s a matter of learning and practice
â He is not exactly a great guard dog as he has never barked or even warned us that someone just walked through the gate and is now petting and loving him like they are BFFs âï¸ (failed 101 guard dog class )
