Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A TEENSY BIT TIMID AT FIRST, AND JUST A BIT SILLY TOO. BEST IN A EASY-GOING HOME THAT`S FAIRLY QUIET, WITH ANY AGE PEOPLE BEING GENTLE WITH HER. OKAY WITH OTHER CATS. FRECKLES AND PINKY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST STAY TOGETHER. NEVER BEEN WITH DOGS. I`m a real cutie! The markings (freckles) on my face make me look like I have a little attitude, but really, I adore people and I`m very sweet! I`ll just be nervous as I settle into my new place, but in a day or two I`ll start being out and about ready for love and some play. I only have a little attitude if other cats come into my comfort bubble until I know they`re okay. I`ll just hiss or growl so they know to give me room. You can see on my cute face and my bright eyes that I`m always very happy to see people. I love getting gentle pets and your attention. At first it may just be some sweet talk and even a soft song as I get to know you, but you can tell that I love having people around! As I`m getting my bearings in new surroundings, you`ll see me setting up high on top of a cat tree or shelf, and sometimes you`ll have to look to see that I`m under the table or a tall couch. I`ll find places to feel safe all over the house as I check out each space. It will be nice if you come and sit with me to comfort me and share some yummy cat treats. I`ll come out walking around the house finding you to rub on your legs as I begin to feel comfortable. That will be a good time to bring out some toys. I`ve been focused on one toy so far, the motion activated toy that moves under a sheet with a butterfly on top (from Amazon). I like cardboard scratchers too. After I seem to be pretty comfortable, I`ll start playing, since I`m still a youngster after all! Playing will help me feel more at ease as I start having fun! Grab our wand toys and come play! I`ll see how fun it is to be with you too!

More about this shelter
The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.
Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.
Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
