My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet me at PawSafe, 348 Old Colony Rd. Eastford, CT

Have you ever seen a German shepherd/poodle mix? Well, Meet Shep and Holt! These stunning, big boys are ready to leave kennel life behind them. They are smart, loyal and will be easy to train! Both are altered, micro chipped, and we are guessing they will be over 60lbs when full grown.

*Due to state laws regarding out-of-state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts.

Additional adoption info

Our volunteers have made a commitment to ensure that the animals we place will be in their new home for life.

Once an application is submitted, a volunteer will work with you to meet the puppies that interest you.

Please plan on meeting the animal you are interested in adopting. Although the pictures and descriptions may show the "perfect" pet for you - nothing replaces an actual meeting!! You can not place an animal on hold. This is unfair to both the animal and other potential adopters.

ADOPTION FEES:
Please read the Q&A's on our website for adoption fee information and what is included.

Learn more about what we do and why we do it!

PawSafe's dogs and puppies stay in both foster care and are kenneled. If you are interested in a specific dog please make an appointment so we can be sure the dog is at the shelter when you'll be visiting. Otherwise you are welcome anytime we're open!

More about this shelter

We work very closely with rescues in southern states to find new homes for dogs and puppies who deserve a family despite their state of origin. Most of the puppies in our care come from over-crowded shelters in states with extreme over population and high kill rates. Our main goal is to place orphaned and unwanted animals into loving permanent homes.
