My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $650, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home

This sweet 3-month-old Chiweenie is all about fun, love, and adventure! Twix is a confident little guy who's already a pro on the leash-he loves to explore his surroundings and is always up for a good run. His favorite thing? A game of chase with a tennis ball! Twix's playful spirit and infectious energy are sure to bring a smile to anyone's face.

Twix is also a big cuddle bug with a heart full of affection. He's still perfecting his potty training, but he's a quick learner and making great progress every day. At night, he sleeps soundly in his kennel, showing just how adaptable and well-behaved he is.

With his joyful personality and loving nature, Twix is going to make an amazing addition to any family looking for a fun and sweet companion. If you're ready for a happy little guy who will keep you on your toes with his playful antics (and plenty of cuddles!), Twix is waiting to meet you!

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
