Marie is about 12 lbs and 1 year old. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines and flea treatment. She is extremely puppy-ish, always playing and getting everyone else going. She is house-trained and taught herself to use the dog door the first day or two she was in her foster home. She is super snuggly and always wants to be near her person. Marie loves toys and enjoys digging in the yard and barking at passing wildlife.
Marie is quite mischievous! This is mostly fun and entertaining, but she's VERY good at getting up on the table and counters and has escaped everywhere she's been contained. She is, however, quite trustworthy and doesn't panic when left alone, as long as she is loose in the house.
Marie has been living with big and small dogs and cats for the last 4 months. She has gotten along with everyone. She has met many people while in foster, and though she barks and is cautious to begin with, she warms up quickly to anyone old enough to be still and respect her space.
Marie is looking for an adults-only home, or one with respectful older children. She needs another dog in the house to play with and to help her confidence. While she can get used to some visitors, a very busy household is probably not the place for her.
Marie loves toys, enjoys digging in the yard and barking at passing wildlife. She is an enjoyable little character. Her adoption fee is $400. She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Apply today at mpravl.org
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
