My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max the Maltese! This adorable, quirky, 6-7 lbs boy is Max. He’s approximately 2 years old. Max is king of the castle and despite his small stature, he has a big personality. He joined MHCR from a high intake shelter in Houston. Max is dog friendly but doesn’t like to share his humans so couch snuggles will need to be managed at first.

Max is being fostered in Mead, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

Mile High Canine Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3, Colorado non-profit organization established in 2019. We are 100% volunteer run and foster home based. MHCR aims to provide abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs a loving home to grow and learn in until a suitable forever home is found. While in foster care, our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested/treated, microchipped, and vaccinated. We rescue dogs from Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
