Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Geodude has been biding his time in foster care. It's been a great life, but he's packing his little knapsack with kibble and toys and is ready to begin his next adventure: getting adopted! Geodude's foster says he's fun, fresh, super affectionate, cuddly, curious and a joy to be with. He also purrs like a motorboat. The playful boy is a real hoot to be with and an expert biscuit maker. While he hasn't been around children in his foster home he was around a 1 yr old cat and 12 year old small dog, and there was no drama. Looking for a little guy with a big personality? Geodude is just your type!
If you're ready to adopt now and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of three ways:
Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt.
**the below two methods are slower than visiting us**
Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us (springfield@dakinhumane.org) for more information about a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours.
Check out the video (above, with the pictures) for top tips on how to bring a kitten like this home with you and integrate them into your home!
All kitten adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age)
-current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-FeLV blood test
-microchip implanted & registered to the adopter
-treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
