My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Luan, a young, sweet, and friendly feline. I'm full of energy and love to play. I'm pretty smart too, quickly figuring out the best spots for a good nap or a game of chase. But don't let my energetic side fool you, I'm also a big fan of cuddles. I have a buddy named Sterling. We're inseparable, always sharing adventures and naps. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love to your home. So, why not make room for one (or two) more in your heart and home? I promise, you won't regret it!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
