My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Ruger is the most adorable doodle I’ve ever seen! He has the perfect markings and is the perfect doodle size. He has the long poodle legs and is incredibly smart!

Ruger is crate trained and house trained. He has not had one accident in our house and has slept out of the crate since night number two with us.

He gets along great with kids and dogs. He wants to play all day long! Having another dog who enjoys rough housing in the yard or being with a very active family would be best for him.

We are currently working on some basic obedience- sit, stay, lay down. He also has proven to steal some snacks off the counter so we are working to teach him to not sneak food that isn’t his.

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
