Meet Steel, a resilient and happy-go-lucky boy who's ready to leave his rough past behind and find his forever family!
Steel’s story began in October 2023, when he was rescued from a heartbreaking cruelty case in Heard County, Georgia. Along with 13 other dogs, he was saved from a backyard breeder who had been starving and neglecting them. Sadly, some of his companions didn’t survive. When Steel was found, he was skin and bones, but his spirit remained strong.
Steel’s journey didn’t end there. After being adopted for a short time, he was surrendered again due to life changes in his new home, with his parents unable to care for him. But Steel's luck turned around when he became part of a vet tech program in September 2024. Living with a vet tech who cared for him deeply, Steel received all the medical attention he needed, along with plenty of love and care. His vet tech proudly says he’s now a "little butterball," full of joy and energy—a far cry from the starved dog he once was... a shining example of a dog's true resiliency and capacity for love.
Steel is now heading to New York, looking for a forever home where he can finally have the stability and love he deserves. He’s happy, healthy, and ready to fill your life with love and laughter. Could Steel be the perfect addition to your family? Come meet him and find out!
