Big is looking for a new home due to ill health of her previous adopter. She would be happiest as a single cat in a quiet household. Once she gets used to her new digs she is likely to become a "velcro" cat. If there are no other cats in the vicinity (unfortunately rare in her present residence) she will follow you around and glue herself to your lap. Don't be surprised if you feel her patting you on the butt if you are standing at the sink doing something and she requires attention. She's a quirky critter who wants nothing more than a quiet home with a person of her own. Her favorite toys are glitter balls which she frequently carries into the bathtub to play with. Her toys and cat tree can accompany her to a new home if adopter wishes. Big is on a hypoallergenic diet due to food allergies but her present owner is willing to subsidize the prescription food.
Big is a funny flame-point girl who has lived with her sister Little and several other cats. She is definitely not bonded with Little and would actually prefer to be a single cat so she could get all the attention.
Once Big decides you are family she likes to crawl under the covers in bed so that she can curl up beside you to sleep at night. Sometimes she curls up on the pillow just above your head. Both Big and Little like to "help" their mom with everything she does and seem quite puzzled when their assistance is declined (it can take MUCH longer to make a bed when they are helping!!). Big especially enjoys helping folding laundry fresh out of the dryer. In fact I now throw in an extra "cat" towel so I can throw it on the bed for her to wrestle with while I fold the rest of the laundry.
Neither one of them is very outgoing with strangers, especially Little. Big doesn't mind being in the same room as strangers but would prefer that they not touch her. Little will disappear under a bed or the couch when she sees a stranger and will only emerge after everything seems safe. They would probably be happiest in a fairly quiet home and since they are so quirky I would not be comfortable placing them outside of Austin. It would definitely take some time for them to get comfortable in a new home but they would be a lot of fun once that happened!!
